Before going to university, I started out in traditional art and spent several years practising drawing and painting. I was fascinated by how visuals could tell a story and evoke emotion, but over time I realised I wanted to explore a more structured and communicative form of creativity. It was then that I discovered graphic design - a field that merges artistic expression with problem solving. I was drawn to its ability to shape messages, influence perceptions, and create meaningful visual experiences. Transitioning from fine art to design felt natural to me because I could still use my artistic skills while expanding into typography, composition and digital media.
